Members of the AWMA joined the Delaware Valley Section of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) on June 8, 2007 for a golf outing at the Downingtown, Pennsylvania Country Club (http://www.golfdowningtown.com). 
 
April 26, 2007 -   Scholarship & APERG awards Ceremony - Villanova University - 5 pm - 8 pm in conjunction with the DVC student awards ceremony. This event highlighted presentations of this year's APERG scholars as well as scholarship awards for undergraduates in the Delaware Valley Chapter. This year the President of our A&WMA International parent association, Tony Van Der Vooren, attended and spoke about the environmental profession.  Tony has worked in Canada with AMEC for more then 20 years.

December 4, 2006 -
MASS-A&WMA was pleased to co-sponsor a gathering on Managing Solid Waste Sustainably with the New York City Bar Association.
 
November 29, 2006 --
The Section hosted a dinner meeting at the Bethlehem Brew Works in Bethlehem PA.  Dr. Alan Robock, Professor in the Rutgers Department of Environmental Sciences was the guest speaker and gave an informative presentation on climate change and global warming.
 
April 6, 2006 --
The Mid-Atlantic States Section of the Air & Waste Management Association (MASS-A&WMA)  hosted a technical conference, sponsored by Johnson & Johnson, at the Hyatt Regency in New Brunswick, NJ.  The conference focused on Consumer Products / Pharmaceuticals in the Environment, Nanotechnology, Voluntary Programs, and Environmental Self Regulation, among other topics.
