The NYSDEC changed the Draft SGEIS to address public comments. The full Preliminary Revised Draft SGEIS was released July 8, 2011. AWMA's panel of speakers provided an overview of the revised draft SGEIS, including ecological and economic information.

November 10, 2010 The Future of our Environment is in Their Hands
Presentations were made by two schools that received Earth Grant Awards in 2010. Tabernacle Christian Academy students demonstrated how using simple pyrometers helped their "Energy SWAT Team" identify sources of heating leaks in their school. Two teachers from Broadalbin- Perth Central School spoke about their program "No Child Left Inside" and how they developed kits, with some components from recycled materials, to encourage young students to explore their environment.

The Empire Generating Company hosted a tour of the new facility. The meeting was well attended, and eveyone enjoyed seeing the new natural gas fired electric generating facility.
