Calling all students, faculty and professional members!
Be part of the Delaware Valley Chapter's second annual Environmental Challenge competition!
The competition will be held on April 21, 2011 at Lehigh University.
What Is It?
The Environmental Challenge (EC) is a student team competition to prepare and present an optimal solution to a complex “true-to-life” environmental problem, which provides students the kind of exposure that could lead to a coveted first job in the field and a chance to compete for prizes. Modeled after a national A&WMA competition, the “real-life” challenge posed to students will consider current environmental issues, representative of the environmental challenges in the Delaware Valley (DE, PA, NJ) region, and will require a multi-disciplinary solution.
The challenge seeks technical answers combined with appropriate regulatory approaches and resolution of political and community issues. The EC will accept student teams with the broadest feasible range of environmental disciplines, including engineering, planning, policy, economics, and various other sciences to compete at the Chapter's Annual Scholarship and Awards Dinner.
