In 2009, grants were awarded to the following schools.
At the November 2008 AWMA meeting, Averill Park High School displayed their water quality work done with microscopes purchased with grants from the Eastern NY Chapter.
St. Martin de Porres School students attended the November 2009 meeting to discuss a wetlands study assisted with equipment purchased with a grant awarded in 2009.
In 2010, the ENY Chapter will once again be asking for applications from all schools in the "12_ _ _" zip code area. We are now an IRS 501(c)(3) organization, and all donations will be fully tax deductible. Please consider making a contribution to the Earth Day Grant Program. Contibutions can be made at any time to AMWA by contacting Keith Cowan, Chapter Treasurer.
